Training government officials on how to use SPSS to analyse the GCRO Quality of Life Survey data

University of Cambridge and the GCRO host writing workshop on urbanization in Africa

This three-day writing workshop, hosted by the University of Cambridge and the GCRO, explores alternative approaches to starting conversations about urbanization in African contexts. The goal is to consider the unique and pressing experiences of African urbanization not as isolated cases that need separate theorizing, but as foundational points for understanding global urbanization. The focus is on prioritizing the perspectives and insights of African scholars."

GCRO researchers Thembani Mkhize and Yashena Naidoo attended the Witwatersrand-Edinburgh Sustainable African Futures (WESAF) Doctoral Programme’s Sustainability School from April 28th to May 10th, 2024. The program, a collaboration between the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (Wits) and the University of Edinburgh (UoE), aims to provide research training for academics to complete interdisciplinary doctoral research on sustainability in Africa.
